Windows 8.1 Wifi limited connection problem

After a long wait to see the new Windows 8.1, I gone mad in the end. There was a problem with my internet connection! I’d spend more than 2 hour to figure it out why my connection is limited.

I tried reboot countless times and also reboot my modem. All didn’t work until I found a post to solve my problem.

Ok listen you’re at the right place if you have this problem. Follow 2 steps  below.

First method : Update your Broadcom driver.

  1. Wins + Q to enter search mode.
  2. Type in “device manager”
  3. Click on Network adapters and you will see Broadcom 802.11g

4. Update the driver online or offline.

Second method :

Wins + Q to open cmd (as administrator*important)
type in all the command below (one by one using right click to paste)

netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled

 

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

 

netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled

 

netsh int tcp show global

 

No reboot is required. After you applied 2 methods above, the limited icon will be gone from your wifi icon.
