7.2 million Malaysian got their permohonan BR1M approved (lulus). Datuk Chua who is the Deputy Finance Minister said 7.2 million application approved out of 8.4 million applicants for permohonan BR1M 2015.
Selangor state had received the most at RM726 million ringgit. The total distribution for all applicants had cost RM 5.2 billion ringgit.

The money suppose to be credited into the users’ account before 31 Jan 2015 for those who applied last year December. The giving out of BR1M to the recipients who receive in voucher form has started. About 600 citizen in Batu Pahat received their first phase of payment. The giving out involved mostly senior citizen; meanwhile many had gotten their incentives through banking.
Datuk Noraini said she hopes the receivers can appreciate the aid and use it wisely. She stressed the main purpose of this giving out is to reduce the burden of the people. The government hopes with this aid the people would be able to get the goods of their daily needs. She hopes the money will be used for daily expenses of family members, but not on unnecessary things.
1Malaysia People’s Assistance (BR1M) is likely to be spread from 15 Jan to all the recipients who had been updating their info during the end of last year.
The application of BR1M however is still opening until the end of next month. The primary payment on January 15, involving 4.9 million people while the circulation will be on 12 Feb, which is likely to cover about 2.9 million recipients.
Due to new challenges in the new year and the increase of cost of living in Kuala Lumpur, many of the recipients of BR1M are grateful for the BR1M handout which has been starting to distribute the last 15th of this month.
Halijah said BR1M has helped her in acquiring medical assistances and reduces the burden to raise her kids.
“It’s good that the BR1M is given stage by stage as the economy of our country is not stable. If it’s given one time, the money will be gone very fast.” said Halijah.
